I. Brief Introduction:
GH Series Rotary Cylinder Dryer adopts the means of cylinder marginal transmission, flange connection, direct heat transfer. It is suitable for drying the granulated compound fertilizer. The Materials to be dried enter into dry zone with special combination plates are thrown by drying plate for vertical movement because of angle difference and rotational motion of drying plate. After the materials makes heat exchange with the high-temperature furnace gas discharging into the cylinder, evaporate water and dry the material. The special design has the function of secondary granulation and can increase the rate of granulation of the system
Advantages of GH Series Rotary Cylinder Dryer:
- According to the characteristics of the raw materials for compound fertilizer, the special structure designed is conducive to the process of heat & mass transfer, fully increases evaporation strength and improves productivity.
- The material and gas to be dried adopts downstream manner, the special design of relevant technology can maintain a steady temperature and reduce nitrogen loss.
- Cylinder body used flange connection, it is coaxial and easy to transport and install.
II. Structure
The dryer consists of the following parts:
1) Cylinder and hitting devices; 2) riding wheel and rolling ring devices; 3) transmission devices; 4) feed-in and feed-out devices; 5) temperature display instruments.
There two types of dryer: laevogyrate and dextrogyrate. Seen from the feed side, if the transmission device is in the left side, the dryer is dextrogyrate and the cylinder will do clockwise rotation; if the transmission device is in the right side, the dryer is laevogyrate and the cylinder will do counterclockwise rotation. The basic structure is shown in the attached drawing. The cylinder is supported by the front & rear riding wheels. Transmission device drives the cylinder to rotate through the big gear on it. There are sealing hoppers in both sides of the cylinder.
The main structure features of the dryer:
- The obliquity of the cylinder is 1.5~2°, assuring enough time for materials to stay.
- The lifting flights inside the dryer are of the latest structure form, making different areas including screw feeding area and secondary granulation area, which will make the best use of the space inside the cylinder.
- The cylinder consists of two parts connected by flange, making transportation and maintenance easier.
- The sealing devices have been improved making the discharging side of the dryer be under tiny negative-pressure.
- The hitting devices have been improved to inner hitting hammer box, decreasing the noise and improving the working environment.
III. Working Principle
The granules from granulator are fed into the dryer through the feeding hopper; then they drop on the flight area and slide into the deeper side of the cylinder rapidly; because of the obliquity and rotation of the cylinder, materials will screw in the flight area and do heat exchange with the high-temperature medium; the dried materials will go out through the discharge device. There are hitting devices on the cylinder to avoid materials sticking together or on the inner side of cylinder.
